How do you sign up for Instagram?
- Download the Instagram app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Once the app is installed, tap on Instagram to open it.
- Tap Create a new account and enter your email address or mobile number, then tap Next. Note: If you sign up by email, make sure you enter your email address correctly and choose an email address that only you can access. If you log out and forget your password, you need to be able to access your email to get back into your Instagram account.
- Enter the confirmation code sent to your email address or mobile number, then tap Next.
- Create a password, then tap Next.

- Add your name, then tap Next.
- Create a username, then tap Next.
- Read the terms and policies of Instagram, then tap I agree to create your account, if you agree to the terms.
- Add a profile picture, then tap Next If you want to add a profile picture later, tap Skip.
- If you want to share your profile picture as your first post, tap Switch Off, then tap Done.
Where is Threads available?
Threads is rolling out in the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and 100 other countries, but will not be available in EU countries at this time due to Digital Markets legislation.
